Apologies for the lateness of this post, but I have had a lot to catch up on with the reportage project (which I will write in more detail later). So we pooled our resources together, and this was my contribution to our leaflet. I tried to keep it as simple as possible, with added details. This is a drawing of a bronze cast monk in the V&A from China (Song dynasty) the original was originally painted and decorated but it has long worn off. The background is the flower of life, and I wanted to make a reference to the colours of the monks robes (even though different orders have different colours). And on the monk himself, another flower of life pattern except not as big.
